Give without expectations.
Help people with your skills and knowledge. A lot.
Do it for free.
If you're a coder, do open source projects.
Do free work for charities you believe in.
But do it without expectations.
I get it. I know it's hard. You're busy and you have bills to pay.
And now to get ahead you're supposed to work for free?
Yes.
Because how else are you going to earn trust?
You need trust to sell your work.
And when starting out, give away your work liberally.
When you come across something helpful, maybe a blog post or a podcast, share it with whomever it might benefit.
Never as a favor though, always without expectations.
You'll be surprised by what'll happen.
